About examprepare.help
A free practice-test engine. Stage 1 covers the US naturalization civics test. More test banks follow later.
What this site is
A static study tool for the civics test. It has the 2025 question bank (128 questions), the 2008 bank (100 questions) and the 65/20 list. It uses the current pass rule and the official USCIS answers.
Free and simple
No account, no email, no paywall. Progress stays in your browser.
Fast and static
Every page is prebuilt HTML. Question data loads as small JSON files. There is no application server in the request path.
Honest about limits
The real test is oral and a USCIS officer decides the result. This site is a study aid, not a simulation of the officer.
Sourced
Each data file lists its source URL, retrieval date and checksum. See the data page.
Why the civics test first
USCIS changed the civics test on October 20, 2025. The 2025 test has 128 questions and a new pass rule. Many study pages still show the old rule. A short, accurate practice tool is useful for applicants.
Where the data comes from
- USCIS question and answer documents (public information).
- USCIS Check for Test Updates page for changing answers.
- Congress.gov API (Library of Congress) for current members of Congress.
- National Governors Association for current governors.
- U.S. Census Bureau Guide to State and Local Census Geography for state capitals.
- U.S. House Clerk MemberData.xml as a cross-check for House members.
How the site is built
Astro builds static HTML for every page. Question and official data live in JSON files under /data/. Browser scripts add the practice modes, flashcards, audio and progress storage. The whole site can be served from a CDN or from Cloudflare Workers static assets.
Who makes it
Senty makes and runs examprepare.help. Senty is an independent publisher. It is not a government agency.
What is next
Stage 2 added DMV written test practice for 20 states and a motorcycle test, and CDL knowledge test practice for general knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles. Each question was written from the state handbook or the AAMVA model CDL manual and cites its page. A bank goes live only when its questions have reviewed sources.
